Best Christmas Lights Displays in Edmonton and where to go!

Christmas is normally the most magical time of the year, on a regular year. In 2020 the Christmas Holiday season comes with high hopes for renewal and transition into 2021. Edmonton residents can all agree that we are excited to say GOOD BYE to 2020 after a

highly stressful year.  As a multicultural city we can embrace that so many faiths share this period of the year as a holiday season. From Diwali to Kwanza to Christmas and Hannukah we all have something to celebrate, that roots us to our fondest childhood memories.

For me personally, it is Candy Cane Lane which my Uncle was part of the original home owners associate in Edmonton that started Candy cane lane in 1968 with the Matcham Family. This is where Christmas Celebrations and holiday lights found their way into my bloodstream as a young child. After 52 years it is still going strong but there are many other holiday lights displays that you absolutely must see this holiday season and we are here to help you make the most of this send off to what has been a very interesting year. Lets get lit this holiday season and hopefully you can enjoy some of the holiday lighting displays around the city we are involved in and many more put on by our friends in the Holiday Decor business.

Candy Cane Lane

is on 148 Street between 92 and 100 avenue in Edmonton, and opens early December and features affordable sleigh rides to allow anyone to enjoy the 8 block display. You can also visit on foot for free, and bring your dogs! This is one of the few holiday light destinations that is dog friendly. All we ask is bring some canned food for the Food Bank.

Glow Edmonton

is at the Edmonton Expo Center and features a new exciting theme every year. Last year it was Glow Around the World and featured light displays paying homage to 6 different countries traditional decor. We are very excited to see this years concept.
